The flood between pages
How this site fills the screen with wax between pages, with view transitions and no router.
When you move between pages here, wax rises over the screen and drains away on the new page. There is no client-side router: it’s a cross-document view transition.
Each page has a hidden element, the flood, with its own view-transition-name. During the
transition its group is animated from below the screen to covering it and back, while the old
page fades out underneath and the new one fades in.
Respecting motion settings
With reduced motion, the transition is switched off entirely and pages simply load.
