Kiln checkout
A ceramics shop's checkout had five steps and lost half its buyers. I rebuilt it as two. Completed orders went up by a third.

The problem
A small ceramics studio sold online through a checkout with five pages, an account wall and a form that reset when you made a mistake. Half the people who started paying never finished.
What I built
A two-step checkout: basket and details on one page, payment on the next. Guest checkout by default, addresses that autofill, errors next to the field that caused them, and a page weight small enough to load instantly on a phone.
What changed
Completed orders rose by a third in the first month, and support emails about “my order didn’t go through” stopped.
